Your wedding will not hold still.
So we stopped asking it to. Élan photographs the movement — the walk in, the pallu as it falls, the second before the garland goes up — and cuts it into a film worth watching more than once.
The argument
Posing is a way of avoiding the problem.
A wedding is not a series of arrangements. It is four hundred people moving through two days, and almost everything worth keeping happens while somebody is walking, turning, reaching or laughing at something off to the side.
Most wedding photography stops all of that, stands people in a row and takes a picture of the arrangement. It is easier, it is faster, and it is why so many wedding albums are a record of what everyone wore rather than what happened.
Élan means momentum. We built the studio around holding it in the frame rather than asking it to stop — which is harder, needs faster glass and more anticipation, and produces the pictures you actually look at again.

A second production running alongside the stills, with its own crew. Quoted separately because that is what it is, rather than buried in a package as though a camera that records motion is an accessory.

Straight answer
We are a new studio. Here is what to do about that.
Élan has not been shooting for ten years and there is no wall of galleries here pretending otherwise. You should weigh that, and you should ask us harder questions than you would ask an established studio.
What we will not do is pad the page. No borrowed films, no stock passed off as our work, no invented couples, no review counts. When there is work to show it will appear here, and it will be ours.
In the meantime, what we can put in front of you is how we think — how a day gets planned, how a figure gets built, and the questions worth asking any photographer, including us.

The month, the city and roughly how many events. That is enough for a real answer about the date and a coverage plan with a figure on it.
What happens after you send this
- The date, answered first. Free or not free, in writing, usually the same day. If we are not free we say so instead of stalling, and we will say what we would look for in whoever you book instead.
- A coverage plan for your events, not a package number. Which events need two cameras and which need one, where the light runs out, and what that comes to. The figure arrives with the reasoning attached.
- A call before anyone signs anything. Twenty minutes on how you want the day to feel and how much camera you actually want in your face. Some couples want to forget we are there; some want to be directed. The answer changes what we quote.

Where does Élan Films shoot?
Across India — Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Udaipur, Goa and Kerala — and destination weddings and pre-wedding shoots in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Bali. The studio is based in Bengaluru and travels; crew travel and stay is quoted as its own visible line rather than hidden inside a package price.
What does wedding photography cost with Élan Films?
The figure is built from your events rather than picked from a package list, because a one-day wedding and a four-event wedding are different jobs. Indicative market bands for India run roughly ₹1,00,000–₹3,50,000 for a full wedding with photography only and ₹2,00,000–₹8,00,000 with film included. Send us the date and the events and you get a real number with the reasoning attached.
Does Élan Films shoot film as well as photographs?
Both, and they are quoted separately because they are two productions running at the same time. A film needs its own crew and considerably more post-production; adding it to photography roughly doubles the people on the day.
Is Élan Films a new studio?
Yes, and we would rather say so than pad a page. What that means practically: you should ask us harder questions than you would ask a studio with a decade of galleries, and you should expect straight answers about who is shooting, what happens when the light is bad, and what you get and when.
