A new studio, said plainly.
Élan means momentum. The studio is named for the thing it is built to keep in the frame.
Élan Films is a wedding cinema and photography studio based in Bengaluru, shooting across South India and the destinations Indian couples marry in. It is new, and this page is not going to pretend otherwise with a decade of stock language.
What the studio is built on is a single argument: that almost everything worth keeping from a wedding happens while somebody is moving, and that the standard practice of stopping people and arranging them is a way of avoiding the harder photograph rather than a style choice. Working that way needs faster glass, more anticipation and more frames discarded. It is the reason the studio exists.
What is not on this site
No portfolio, no client count, no ratings, no reviews, no borrowed films. A wedding photography site is the easiest place in the world to imply work you did not do, and a large number of them do. When there is work here it will be ours and it will be shown in full sets rather than as thirty good frames.
Until then, what we can show you is how we think: how a day gets planned, how a figure gets built, what each location actually demands, and what we would tell you if you were sitting here.
Who to ask harder questions of
Us. A new studio should be interrogated more, not less. The twelve questions worth asking any photographer were written to be used on us as much as on anyone else, and we will answer all of them in writing.

The month, the city and roughly how many events. That is enough for a real answer about the date and a coverage plan with a figure on it.
What happens after you send this
- The date, answered first. Free or not free, in writing, usually the same day. If we are not free we say so instead of stalling, and we will say what we would look for in whoever you book instead.
- A coverage plan for your events, not a package number. Which events need two cameras and which need one, where the light runs out, and what that comes to. The figure arrives with the reasoning attached.
- A call before anyone signs anything. Twenty minutes on how you want the day to feel and how much camera you actually want in your face. Some couples want to forget we are there; some want to be directed. The answer changes what we quote.
