How to choose a shoot location
Start with the feeling you want, then the season, then the place. A couple who want mist and quiet should be looking at Nandi Hills or Coorg between November and February, not at a beach in April. A couple who want colour and streets will get more from Fontainhas or Fort Kochi in the first two hours of the morning than from any resort lawn at sunset.
Then count the travel. Inside Bengaluru, two locations on the same side of the city fit into one morning. Mysuru can be a long day. Coorg, Chikmagalur, Sakleshpur, Kabini and Hampi mean a night away, and Kerala's regions are hours apart from each other. The time spent in a car is time out of the good light.
Finally, check who owns the ground. Parks, palaces, monuments, forests, temples, churches and private estates each have someone who says yes or no.
