The four things that move the price
- Days and events. A one-day wedding and a three-day wedding with mehendi, haldi, sangeet, muhurtham and reception are not the same job. This is the biggest single driver and the easiest to underestimate.
- Crew size. One photographer sees one thing at a time. A bride getting ready and a groom arriving in procession are simultaneous events in different buildings; covering both requires two people, and that doubles a line item.
- Film or no film. Adding motion roughly doubles the crew and multiplies the post-production. A film is not an add-on to photography — it is a second production that happens at the same time.
- Who is shooting. A named lead with a body of work costs multiples of an assigned team member, and this is the line couples are least often told about.
Indicative bands for 2026
These are observed market bands in Indian metros, not our rate card, and they are wide because the market is wide. Treat them as a way to tell whether a quote is inside the normal range, not as a target.

Where couples overspend
On albums, almost universally. A large printed album with heavy pages can add a six-figure line to a quote, and a significant number of couples open theirs twice. If you want a printed book, a smaller one printed well is a better object than a big one printed heavily.
On drone footage, frequently. Aerials are impressive for about eight seconds of a film and cost meaningfully more than that. They also carry permission risk at exactly the venues that look best from above.
Where couples underspend
On the second shooter, almost always. The bride getting ready and the baraat arriving happen at the same time in different places. One person cannot cover both, and the hour you lose is not recoverable.
On the hours around the ceremony. Couples routinely book coverage that starts an hour before the muhurtham and ends at the meal, then discover the pictures they love are from the two hours nobody was booked for.

Put them side by side on four lines only: number of crew on the day, number of hours covered, who the named lead is, and what is delivered and when. Package names are marketing. Those four lines are the job.
