Thailand gives two different pre-wedding shoots: the Andaman islands around Phuket and Krabi, best in the November to March dry season, and Bangkok at dusk, which few Indian couples use. Élan Films plans Thai shoots away from the standard viewpoints, and temples enforce dress rules that need planning into the outfits.
Thailand is the easiest destination shoot to organise from India and the hardest to make look like yours. The islands have been photographed exhaustively; the frames that still work are the ones shot away from the viewpoints everyone stops at.

Two completely different shoots live in this country. The islands — Phuket, Krabi, Samui — give you limestone, water and headlands. Bangkok gives you a dense, vertical, neon city that almost nobody uses for Indian pre-wedding work and which photographs beautifully at dusk.
The dry season runs November to March on the Andaman side. Outside it you are shooting around squalls, and the sea state at the headland viewpoints turns from turquoise to grey-brown.

Sunset location and the whole island knows it — the car park fills an hour before. The better frames are on the approach paths rather than the platform itself. Wind at the cape is constant and strong; anything loose in the wardrobe becomes the subject of every frame.
Railay is boat-access only, which is a genuine logistical constraint — you are on the longtail schedule and tide, and the last boat back is a hard deadline. It is also why it stays emptier than Phuket. Cliffs give you shade until mid-morning on the east side.
Shoot Wat Arun from across the river at blue hour, not from inside the compound. Rooftops are private venues with their own rules and most will not permit a formal shoot without arrangement — the ones that will, charge. City haze December to February softens everything, which helps portraits and hurts skylines.
Cooler, quieter and completely different in character from the islands. Temple compounds have dress rules that are enforced — shoulders and knees covered — and a bridal outfit is not automatically compliant. Some temples do not permit pre-wedding shoots at all.
Gulf side, so the weather calendar is different from Phuket — the wettest stretch is October to December. The interior plantations are more distinctive than the beaches and almost nobody shoots them.
Permission and rules
Temples are working religious sites first. Dress rules are enforced, several major temples do not allow pre-wedding shoots inside the compound at all, and the ones that do may require arrangement in advance. Shooting the exterior from public ground is a different matter and is usually the better frame anyway.
Drones require registration with both the aviation regulator and the telecoms regulator before they are flown legally, and the process takes weeks rather than days. National parks and airport zones are closed. Bringing an unregistered drone through customs is a risk to the drone and the trip.
National parks charge foreigner entry rates and several of the headline island viewpoints sit inside park boundaries. A commercial shoot inside a national park is a separate permission from a ticket.
November to March for Phuket and Krabi, which is the Andaman dry season. Koh Samui runs on a different calendar — its wettest stretch is October to December — so if you want the Gulf side the months shift. Bangkok works year round, with the caveat that December to February is hazy.

The exterior from public ground — Wat Arun across the river at blue hour, for instance — is unrestricted and usually the stronger frame.
Three nights on one island, or four to five if you want Bangkok and an island. Trying to do Phuket and Krabi and Bangkok in under five nights means you are shooting in transit.
